Accessibility
We want this site and our services to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. This statement records what we aim for and how to tell us when we fall short.
Our standard
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, level AA, and to the expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act as they apply to a professional practice's public communications. Where a guideline and a client's own requirement differ, we discuss the difference openly rather than choosing silently.
What we do on this site
- Structure. One main heading per page, headings in order, and landmarks that assistive technology can navigate.
- Contrast. Body text and interface elements meet or exceed the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Keyboard. Every link, control and form field is reachable and operable without a pointing device, with a visible focus indicator.
- Motion. No animation is required to understand a page, and transitions are short and non-flashing.
- Text. Sizes are declared in relative units, so browser and system enlargement work as expected.
- Images. Every meaningful image carries a text alternative; decorative elements are marked so they are ignored.
- Forms. Each field has a visible, permanently associated label, and no field relies on colour alone.
Known limitations
The compass-rose navigation is a graphical arrangement of links. Below 720 pixels wide it becomes a plain vertical list, and the list is also present for assistive technology at every width, because a decorative arrangement must never be the only way to reach a page. Where a table appears, its headings are marked up so that relationships are announced. We know of no page on this site that depends on a pointing device, and we welcome reports that prove us wrong.
Requesting accommodation
If any part of this site or any part of our correspondence is difficult to use, write to [email protected] or telephone +1 (303) 555-0147. Tell us the page or document and what you were trying to do. We acknowledge within two business days, provide the content in another form where that helps immediately, and aim to remove the barrier rather than describe it.
Using our services with a disability
Our services are delivered by correspondence, telephone and scheduled sessions. We are happy to agree an alternative format for any deliverable, a longer session, a written rather than spoken summary, or a different meeting arrangement. None of these choices affects price or scope.
Review
We review this statement and the site behind it at least once a year, and after any significant change. The current version reflects our practice at the date shown in the footer. If you believe we have misstated something, we would rather hear it from you than from a complaint.
this site distributes no product or file; nothing is offered for acquisition or execution on a visitor's device.
Tell us about a barrier
Accessibility reports are read by a person in the practice, not routed to a queue.
